I've been called a conservative hippie. I would agree with that, mostly...I'm a fiercely liberal, pro-choice, Childfree, atheist, feminist democrat. But I also enjoying owning my own gun and children that still say 'please' and 'thank-you' and don't act like wild hellions in public areas.

I was born in East Texas, but it's never really felt like home. I've lived in Germany and Alabama and Kansas and North Carolina, and it still never felt like home. I live in Austin now. Now I'm home.

I'm a child of divorce, I triumph (most days) over depression and anxiety, I'm fat and dealing with it, I love my high school sweetheart husband fiercely, I mix a mean cocktail, I aspire to be completely free on the karaoke stage.

I enjoy scotch, seeing new places, taking pictures of beer bottle caps, eating fondue, watching BSG with my husband and cuddling with my dog. I also make my own greek yogurt. I like to collage and use spray paint to make ugly things less ugly. Old things are my kryptonite. See also: Cheesecake.

In any case, I'm trying to make sense of my life...and this is where I talk about it. I also talk about MAC. And loving Austin. And I swear. A lot.
